Telematics Systems, Inc. (doing business as Mobiletrace) recognizes and respects the importance of maintaining the privacy of subscribers to our site, MobileAngelGPS.com. In our Privacy Policy, we describe why we gather visitor information, what information we collect, how we collect it, what we use the information for, and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information.
What information we collect:
Telematics Systems, Inc. collects personal information about you and your vehicle when you register your telematics hardware or when you use the "Contact Us" screen.

Telematics Systems, Inc. takes your privacy very seriously. The following Telematics Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the information gathering and dissemination practices related to the provision of telematics services to our subscribers. This Policy supplements any Subscriber Agreement you have with Telematics Systems, Inc. and/or other provider, and any privacy provisions contained therein. Please read this Policy carefully. Please note that this Policy may be changed from time to time, and that any changes would replace the current Policy. 1. The Information We Collect:
Our primary goal in collecting personal information from you is to facilitate the provision of the telematics service. As a general rule, telematics services are activated if you place a call to our Response Center, if an airbag in your vehicle deploys, or if your vehicle is/has been reported stolen. We collect information about you and your vehicle in different ways: from what you and your vehicle dealer provide to us when you purchase a Mobiletrace Unit or register for Mobiletrace Service and buy or lease your vehicle; from Mobiletrace web pages you visit or your calls to us; from our Service Providers; and from your vehicle when your Mobiletrace Unit is active. THE INFORMATION TRANSMITTED FROM YOUR CAR AND STORED ON OUR SYSTEMS INCLUDES THINGS SUCH AS DATA ABOUT ITS OPERATION, YOUR USE OF THE Mobiletrace SERVICE, INCLUDING DATES AND TIME OF USE, YOUR USE OF Mobiletrace SERVICES, AND THE LOCATION AND SPEED OF YOUR VEHICLE.
In addition
to the information you provided with your
Subscriber Agreement, when the telematics
services are activated, we may collect
and/or develop the following information:
your location, caller identification, data
and time of call and any operator comments.
From time to time, we may also randomly
monitor or record any conversation you have
with our Response Center for quality
assurance purposes.
2. Use of Your Information:
It is our
policy to use the information we collect
from you for purposes of providing the
telematics service for which you subscribed.
We may also use your information for a
statistical analysis of telematics service
usage.
3. Disclosure of Your Information:
To Provide
the Telematics Service. We may share your
information with your hardware supplier (or
its agents), roadside assistance providers,
emergency service providers and other
service providers only for the purpose of
providing the telematics services for which
you have subscribed. We may also share
pertinent information with the authorities
in cases of stolen vehicle tracking.
For Other
Purposes. Except to provide the telematics
services, we do not sell, trade or rent your
information to others. Also, we may provide
aggregate statistics about our subscribers
and related telematics service information
to third-party vendors, but these statistics
will not include any personal identifying
information. At our discretion, we may
release information when necessary to (i)
comply with the law, a court order, or
subpoena, or (ii) enforce or apply the terms
of our Agreements.
4. Updating or Changing Your Account
Information:
You may modify, correct, change or update the information you provide upon activation of the telematics services via the Mobiletrace.com website under the "My Account" link, or at any other time upon written request. 5. Protection of Subscriber Information:
We have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. For example, depending upon the applications, we employ the use of encryption technologies and user authentication systems such as passwords and personal identification numbers. All information is stored under secure measures with access limited only to authorized Telematics Systems, Inc. employees. We transmit your entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during processing. Although we take your privacy very seriously and we use industry standard practices to protect the privacy of your information, we cannot guarantee that your information will always remain private.
6. Security on the Cellular Telephone
Network:
In providing
the Services to you, data may be transmitted
between the response center and your vehicle
over the cellular telephone network. This
network is complex and not necessarily
secure. Therefore, the privacy and security
of data transmitted to and from the vehicle
cannot be guaranteed.
7. Your Consent:
By using the telematics services, you agree to the practices and procedures described in this Policy. We may change this Policy at any time by posting a notice on the Mobileangelgps.com website and other linked sites as appropriate. You can access any copy from your dealer or from Telematics Systems, Inc. by writing us at the address listed above. Your continued use of the telematics services after any such change is made constitutes acceptance of and agreement to be bound by the terms of the Policy as modified.
